Seymour Health is becoming recognised as a leading  provider of Rural Health Services. Seymour Health is one of the major employers in Seymour with more than 200 staff providing clinical care, support services, residential care for high needs clients and a wide range of community services. Seymour Health is a publicly funded 30-bed hospital.

Our 30-bed aged care facility is accredited by the Aged Care Standards Agency.

Ambulatory Care Centre
The Ambulatory Care Centre provides inter-disciplinary rehabilitation services and support to enable clients who are disabled, frail, chronically ill or recovering from surgery or injury, to achieve and retain optimal functional independence. The team comprises nurses, welfare worker, physiotherapists, occupational therapist, dietitian, diabetes educator, exercise groups and education for chronic disease.

Community Services
The Community Services Building houses Chronic Disease Management, District Nursing, Palliative Care, Planned Activity Group, Post Acute Care and Renal Dialysis. 

Both the Hospital and Community Services are accredited under the Australian Council on Health Care Standards.

 

EDUCATION

Seymour offers accessible childcare and primary and secondary school education making it an ideal place to raise children.  School bus services are available each day throughout Seymour transferring students to secondary colleges.

Seymour College
Seymour College is located 30 km south of Nagambie. Seymour College is an F-12 and Special Education College. The mission of the school is to educate and provide opportunities for all students to achieve their full potential.

St Mary’s College Seymour 
The College Learning Plan is designed from the Victorian Curriculum F-10 Framework, and in conjunction with the Education Framework for the Archdiocese of Melbourne – Horizons of Hope. The College offers a welcoming, inclusive environment which allows students to effectively learn because they feel safe and nurtured. The College places a high priority on the importance of setting high expectations and developing literacy and numeracy skills.

TRANSPORT

Located just off the Hume Hwy and with easy access to the Goulburn Valley Highway (a major link between Victoria and inland New South Wales), Seymour’s transport infrastructure is noted for its regular train and bus lines connecting Seymour to Melbourne.
