Think Home.

City-folk would be a pretty accurate description of us as a couple. My husband and I moved to Seymour a few years ago from Melbourne. Originally from Adelaide, we went overseas only to return to Adelaide before settling in Victoria. We had our hearts set on a rural lifestyle, you know a farm, horses – the kids liked the idea. And when the kids finished weekend sports, we could really make the idea of owning a farm come true. Our daughter started the search for a suitable property and we thought about selection criteria. A place big enough for horses, within an hour and a half of Melbourne, easy access to quality schooling, a healthy lifestyle, a place to relax and a sense of community ... because in Melbourne, you can feel a bit lost in the crowd.

Driving back from Mount Buller one weekend, we discovered Seymour and thought ‘it’s such lovely country’. And for my husband, his commute to Melbourne and trips to the airport are easily do-able. I’ve got myself back on the tennis court and involved with the club as well as a couple of community and charity organisations. I love the great sense of community you get in Seymour.
